FC Mutoko will have a stern test when they face Yadah Stars in a potentially explosive Eastern Region ZIFA Division One match at Prospect grounds this afternoon.
Both teams have been doing well with FC Mutoko yet to taste defeat in the race and they face a rejuvenated Yadah Stars who are also unbeaten ever since Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministries took over the franchise from Ruwa Gunners.
FC Mutoko director Chido Mudzinganyama said they are looking forward to the game and are well prepared for the challenge.
“We have always been happy to pull out victories in situations like these and this game cannot be an exception.
“We are prepared and everyone is looking ahead to the game and we do not expect to taste our first defeat in the hands of Yadah.
“They have a good side which can win any game, but we have been working hard for them.
“We will not be intimidated by the support as we have lined up two buses not counting mini buses and private cars that will turn up for the match.” FC Mutoko have been trimming their squad and they now have 25 registered players and Mudzinganyama believes they will pull throughout the season.
“Actually we have been de-registering players as we discovered that we will be wasting people’s time as they will not make the team yet they spend the season in our books.
“We will get through the season as only 18-players make the team while seven will be resting and it is also a cost cutting measure for us,” said Mudzinganyama.
