WHILE the headlines ultimately went on Khama Billiat, fans at Rufaro on Saturday were charmed by Yadah’s new winger, Shingai Masukuta.
The Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match ended 1-1 with both goals coming in the first half.
Billiat grabbed his first goal of the season, heading home a first half goal which he refused to celebrate having been with Yadah last season.
However, the crowd seemed to enjoy the exploits of Masukuta who gave the Scottland wingbacks a torrid time all afternoon with his dangerous runs.

Masukuta played for Total Academy from 2010-2017, Harare City Cubs (2018) and Harare City from 2019-2024.
New Yadah coach, Ikabort Masocha worked with Masukuta at Harare City in the Northern Region Soccer League last season and lured him to the Miracle Boys.
Meanwhile, Masocha was happy with the draw against Scottland.
“The result against Scottland is a welcome development in our team considering that we were coming from a defeat against Greenfuel in Chisumbanje there. We needed to find a way to add points to our tally and move from the relegation zone. What we have done today, I am sure everyone associated with the team will be a bit happy with the performance and the result as well.
“We are very lucky and privileged to have senior players in our midst. And I am sure their contribution. Week in, week out Evans Rusike has been our leading light in looking for goals, he is the one who gave us our first goal of the season and he has continued trying to help the team and his contribution is immense.”
Yadah will be on the road this week, with a long trip to Gibbo where they face winless Triangle.
