Beauty Faranando has no peace in her marriage.
Due to that, she has applied for a peace order against her husband’s alleged mistress, Letwin Mukoneri, who eloped to their marital home after her husband allegedly impregnated her.
Beauty told the court that her love rival has strained her marriage. She revealed that Letwin would call during the night.
“Letwin calls in the middle of the night and starts to talk to my husband. At times she calls me and rants at me saying my husband is not mine alone and we have to share him because he loves both of us,” she said.
She added: “Your worship at times Letwin comes to my home and shouts at me.”
Letwin took to the stand and dropped a bombshell. “I’m in love with her husband and she officially engaged me at a ceremony which was held at my family home. Here is the engagement ring,” she said.
To which the magistrate said: “It’s a crime Letwin to be engaged to a man who is legally married. The man who engaged you is in a monogamous relationship and if Beauty presses charges you can be charged for adultery.”
Letwin profusely apologised and said: “I’m sorry Your Worship. I did not know. The guy impregnated me. When we fell in love he never told me that he was married to Beauty.”
The magistrate granted Beauty a peace order. He told Letwin to maintain peace towards Beauty and to stop verbally and emotionally abusing her.
