ETHAN He, a Grade Three learner at St John’s Preparatory School in Harare, has a bright future as an artist judging from his current works.

The artist emerged as one of the winners at the National Allied Arts Festival that was held at Hartmann House recently.

The festival was organised by the National Institute of Allied Arts, a well-known organisation that has been active in Zimbabwe for more than 100 years.

Participants were drawn from across the country.  The festival, according to the institute, gives a platform for learners to perform in their chosen field.

The categories in which the learners showcased their talents included music, theatre and creative art.

Hiss entry, a drawing titled “Theatre of the Absurd”, was the overall winner in the Grade Three Junior School Winners category.
