UPCOMING Afro-sounds and Zimdancehall musician, Pride ‘Young Chamaz’ Chamangwana, has released a new song called ‘Say No to Drugs’ which urges the nation, the young and the old to desist from drugs and substance abuse.

Following on the campaign which was launched by the President to fight drugs and substance abuse in the country, Young Chamaz (8), has taken upon himself to be a role model for the young and urge them to lead a healthy lifestyle free from drugs and substances.

In an interview, the grade three student, Young Chamaz said drugs are destroying the lives and future of many youths, so his plea is to see the youths sobering up, leading a healthy life and concentrating on their schoolwork.

“Drugs are killing the young generation, and it is my wish that we see a future where our youths are drug-free and leading a healthy lifestyle.

“As a young and upcoming musician, I have released a song called Say No to Drugs in which I talk about issues of drug abuse and how drugs are affecting the youth.

“I am following on the call made by the President that we should shun drugs, so I want to be a role model and urge my fellow youngsters that we should stay away from drugs.

“We the youths are the leaders of tomorrow, so how can we lead whilst we are high on drugs and different substances?

“Let’s stay away from drugs”.

Young Chamaz is popularly known for his song, Trabablas Yapera, which he released after the official opening of the Trabablas Interchange, which was commissioned by President Mnangagwa.
