THE Zimbabwe Under-19 netball team, the Young Gems are set to clash with Malawi in the semi-finals of the Africa Union Sports Council (AUSC) Region 5 Youth Games in Namibia on Thursday evening.

To get to the semi-finals, Zimbabwe beat Botswana 76-23 and Namibia 45-41.

The Games begun on Friday last week in the Namibian capital of Windhoek.

The Young Gems head coach Stembile Banda said she believes in the players.

“Malawi is a very good team, we will tread with caution, hoping that we execute our game properly by capitalising on every turnover and every centre pass. Through teamwork and determination, we have been working hard for this moment and today we are going to shine,” said Banda.
