ALL-WOMEN entrepreneurship group, Concord Young Women in Business Global, has set a target to empower over 10 million young women across the globe as a way of fighting early marriages.
The organisation is the brainchild of SADC Success Awards which recognise young women in business in Zimbabwe.

Concord Young Women in Business Global founder, Apphia Musavengana, popularly known as Queen Mother of Hustleprenuers, believes in empowering a large number by 2030.

“We had set and registered to be running at an international level after six years of successfully running in Africa.
“Having hosted various events in SADC in different sectors and awarding women in various departments at SADC awards, the organisation had a national board meeting which voted for a new international team from all over the world under the new name Concord Young Women in Business Global.
“The organisation is set to change the girl child story, and become her stepping ladder to empowerment.
“We are targeting over 10 million empowered young women by 2030 around the globe, and the board is expected to deliver the goals set on each sector,” she said.
Previously, Musavengana and her team empowered more than 30 000 women in agriculture, small businesses, trading, mining and construction.
“We are working hand-in-hand with each government and we are set to participate at the UN, African Union, World Bank, AU-IBAR and many international events in the women’s side events.
“I am encouraging every young woman to take part in the initiative. The new board is set to be introduced in South Africa this week, which will be the organisation’s second headquarters led by Precious Banda, a South African born, Heather Hunda from the United Kingdom, Faith Lerato Ebineng (Botswana) as well as Anita Neshiri and Ashyl Ndangwa from Zambia,” said Musavengana.
