Youth entrepreneur of the Week

Princess Siziba (pictured) is a global award-winning author and entrepreneur. She is the founder and brains behind WING UP Publishing, which has clients in the United Kingdom, Germany, China and South Africa.

She is also the CEO of Indalo, Zimbabwe’s first 100 percent vegan and all-natural skincare products formulated with a unique key ingredient, which is zumbani. She took a plant that was initially used to treat Covid-19 and created a unique and innovative skincare brand that is backed by science.

In early 2022, she was named one of the top 100 Zim Achievers and Influencers in Matabeleland. In June 2022, she won the Zimbabwe Business Youth Expo, which attracted United Nations recognition. She was yet again 2022’s Best Innovation Award winner for the ZimTrade Eagle’s Nest export incubator programme. Siziba says being part of ZimTrade Eagle’s Nest export incubator programme was a blessing.

“The growth that came from the experience is undeniable. It has taught me to be disruptive and innovative in the business world. It also heightened my strategic planning on how to penetrate export markets,” she said.

Siziba is also an Academy for Women Entrepreneurs alumni and mental health advocate through her writing. She uses the wisdom amassed from her experiences to help create a wave of hopefulness across the world.

Her first book “Why I Never Gave Up” was nominated for the Author Academy Awards 2020 in America. In the next five years, Siziba sees Indalo being the chosen provider of natural skin solutions.

“We have recently opened a shop in Harare, at 3 Durban Road, Belgravia, to expand our distribution footprint. We also want to leverage on e-commerce so that we are able to cater for Europe as well,” she said.
