many youths were scrambling for foreign brands.
“I was disheartened when I saw a music video of Zimbabwean artistes wearing foreign brands. We should have our own clothing line that celebrates our national pride,” he said.
Katururira, who also doubles as a graphic designer, said he was in the process of engaging urban grooves artistes.
“I am currently working with some artistes so that I supply their wardrobes for videos and galas.
“The brand will definitely define the Zimbabwean culture with style. The idea is to provide quality yet affordable branded Zimbabwean clothes,” he said.
Katururira is involved in designing clothes with specific themes and he seeks to bring his expertise to market Zimbabwe.
“The whole aim is to promote unity, pride and style to any Zimbabwe across the globe. This is a proudly Zimbabwean brand,” he said.
Born in 1985, Katurira is not a newcomer in the arts. Last year, he produced a film called “Dry Cry.” The play focuses on issues of infidelity and barrenness with regards to African culture.
