Youth Network Connect empowering young Zimbabweans for a brighter future

YOUTH Network Connect (YNC), a youth organization dedicated to unlocking the potential of young people to become leaders, entrepreneurs, and change-makers, has established itself as a leading catalyst for youth development in Zimbabwe.

The organization’s founder, Philimon Nyirenda, said their objectives include promoting youth entrepreneurship, self-employment, and increasing the number of youth-owned and well-managed businesses in Zimbabwe.

“Our organization’s vision is to create open societies in Zimbabwe where young people are actively involved and visible in all cities. This is achieved through empowerment and entrepreneurship mentorship programmes that promote youth entrepreneurship, leadership, and economic development,” said Nyirenda.

He said the organization also aims to build a network of change-makers and emerging leaders, promoting impactful leadership and youth development through capacity building, mentoring, and entrepreneurship programs.

As a seasoned organization, YNC has been supporting entrepreneurship and cross-border business for several years.

“Our organisation has accumulated a deep understanding of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and we are well-positioned to facilitate exchange and learning between entrepreneurs,” explained Nyirenda.

Through partnerships with other associations and businesses, the organization has also opened doors to new opportunities and environments that best fit the interests of entrepreneurs.

“We believe that collaboration and knowledge-sharing are key to unlocking the potential of young entrepreneurs, and we are committed to creating platforms that facilitate this,” he said.

Recently, YNC hosted a successful Entrepreneurship and Business Conference Dinner with Awards, which brought together entrepreneurs, business leaders, and stakeholders from across Africa.

The event was graced by Brighton Ndebele, representing the Ministry of Industry and Commerce as the guest of honour.
