Miss Supranational Zimbabwe 2026, Nicole Nyawera, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Zimbabweans for supporting her at the global contest held in Poland where she made Top 24. She described the experience as life-changing and a testament to the power of faith, hard work and national support.

The nurse by profession who only ventured into modelling this year said representing Zimbabwe on one of the world’s biggest beauty pageants was one of the greatest honours of her life.

Nyawera was crowned Miss Supranational Zimbabwe on June 6 and had just over a month to prepare before leaving for Poland on July 13. Despite the limited preparation time, she managed to secure a place among the Top 24 contestants, becoming one of Zimbabwe’s standout performers on the international pageant stage.

Reflecting on her journey in a message shared on social media, Nyawera said the achievement belonged to every Zimbabwean who rallied behind her.
“As I reflect on the incredible journey that has just come to an end at the Miss Supranational 2026 pageant in Poland, my heart is filled with nothing but gratitude. Representing Zimbabwe on the international stage has been one of the greatest honours of my life. What makes this journey even more special is that 2026 marked my very first year in modelling,” she said.

Nyawera said the encouragement she received from Zimbabweans gave her the confidence to proudly carry the country’s flag on the global stage.
“Finishing among the Top 24 is an achievement that belongs to every Zimbabwean. I could never have reached this milestone without your belief in me. Every vote, every message, every prayer, every share and every word of encouragement meant the world to me.
“Coming from a humble village and standing shoulder to shoulder with some of the world’s finest contestants was an honour beyond words,” she said.

She paid tribute to the Miss Universe Zimbabwe Board for supporting her preparations, while also acknowledging national director Tendai Hunda, members of the organising team, pageant coach Royce Gavi and her wardrobe team for helping her present Zimbabwe with confidence and elegance.

Nyawera also thanked fellow beauty queens, including reigning Miss Universe Zimbabwe Roseanna Hall and former Miss Universe Zimbabwe Lyshanda Moyas, for their guidance throughout her journey.
She extended her appreciation to media personalities, bloggers and the Zimpapers Arts and Entertainment Hub for amplifying her campaign and encouraging Zimbabweans to rally behind her.

Beyond the pageantry world, Nyawera reserved special gratitude for her employer, Parirenyatwa Hospital, where she works as a nurse, thanking hospital management, supervisors and colleagues for supporting her dream while she continued serving patients.

She also acknowledged the unwavering support of her family and partner, saying their encouragement helped her navigate the demands of preparing for an international competition.

Above all, Nyawera credited God for making the journey possible and said her international debut had strengthened her resolve to continue representing Zimbabwe with pride.
“Although my Miss Supranational journey has come to an end, my journey of serving Zimbabwe has only just begun. I promise to continue working hard, inspiring others and doing everything I can to make our nation proud wherever I go,” she said.
