Cde Chidhakwa said this yesterday at an Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment awareness campaign held at Kutama Day Secondary School in Zvimba. More than 300 youths attended. Cde Chidhakwa said there was need for youths to first learn the country’s history for them to have a better understanding of the Government empowerment programme.
“We are the masters of our own destiny. A number of projects that youths have embarked on recently failed to bear fruit because they lacked both technical and business knowledge.
“They should be equipped with both skills and a technical know how on what they should do to run a project efficiently,” said MP Chidhakwa.
He also urged the youths to participate in Government empowerment programmes saying the land reform exercise was meant for blacks to enjoy the fruits of the liberation struggle.
