THERE is a party atmosphere among the Chevrons, and for a good reason too.

Their crushing Test victory over Bangladesh was another demonstration of how they have turned the corner, in recent months, in all formats of the game.

And, it’s not just the team which deserves to celebrate.

Brendan Taylor has just extended his record as the cricketer who currently has the longest career in the game in the world right now.

The former Chevrons skipper has now been active, as a player, for 22 years and 76 days. His teammate, Graeme Cremer is in second place.

The leg-spinner has now been active for 21 years and 57 days in the game.

Mushfiqur Rahim, who is part of the Bangladesh team on this tour, is on number three and has been active for 21 years and 40 days in the game.

Indian superstar Rohit Sharma is in fourth place and has been active for 19 years in the game.

Shakib Al Hasan, with 18 years and 59 days in the game, is in fifth place.
