ZACC Chair Michael Reza’s wife dies

ZIMBABWE Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) chairperson Mr Michael Reza’s wife Mrs Chipo Reza, has died.

She was 63.

Mrs Reza collapsed at her home on Sunday afternoon and was rushed to the Borrowdale Trauma Centre, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

Family spokesperson Mr Owen Ranga Reza, who is a brother to the ZACC chairperson, confirmed the death to Zimpapers.

“Mrs Chipo Reza (63) collapsed at home on Sunday afternoon and was rushed to Borrowdale Trauma Centre, where she was pronounced dead on arrival,” he said.

“She is survived by her husband, Mr Reza, four children, and 11 grandchildren.”

Mrs Reza was a well-known and highly respected leader within the Methodist Church in Zimbabwe.

She previously served as the Ruwadzano (Women’s Fellowship) chairwoman and was an active member of both the 11am Steward and the Southerton Fellowship.

Mourners are currently gathered at the Reza family residence in Glen Lorne, Harare.

According to the family, funeral arrangements are still being finalised and will be announced in due course.
