The Zimbabwe Annual Film and Television Awards (ZAFTAs0 are set to take the entertainment industry by storm with their first inaugural event, promising to usher in a new era for the film and TV space.
The awards ceremony will take place on December 2 at the Wisdom Church in the capital.
In an interview with one of the organizers Richard Tentone, he said the aim is to recognize the incredible achievements of both established and emerging film and television stars and commitment to creating an event that would usher a new era in the film and television space.
“With 38 categories spanning across both mediums, these awards will honor the best performances, directing, writing, production and more.
“We want to celebrate the tireless efforts of all those who work behind the scenes to create the stories we love and adore’, he added.
Asked on their nomination process he said:
The winners of the ZAFTAS will be chosen by a panel of expert judges made up of actors, directors and producers.
‘The nominees were announced and people can go on social media and vote for their favorite social media influencers’.
The ZAFTAS are set to become a major player in the film and television space.
