Multiple award-winning South African songbird Zahara is expected to jet into the country this afternoon ahead of her two shows in Harare and Bulawayo.The concert that serves as an environmental awareness campaign through music, song and dance will be held under the theme “Remembering Tokwe-Mukosi: One Environmental Family”.
Event organiser, Dereck Mpofu said Zahara who was initially scheduled to arrive yesterday would arrive today.
“Zahara was supposed to come today but she will now come tomorrow due to reasons beyond our control. We expect her at the Harare International Airport at midday,” he said.
Zahara will be headlining concerts slated for tonight at the 7Arts Theatre in Harare and Amphitheatre in Bulawayo tomorrow. For the Harare show Zahara will be supported by local artistes Willis Wataffi, Cynthia Mare and Mpofu. For the Bulawayo concert, she will share the stage with Sandra Ndebele, Diana Samkange, Mare and Mpofu.
“The line up for this year is exceptional and I am expecting a few artistes to make guest appearances especially those that I have collaborated with on my albums,” said Mpofu.
