Zakaria storms Sports Diner tonight

The Senior Lecturer has been one of the most consistent artistes in Zimbabwe with more than 20 albums to his name and has groomed artistes like Alick Macheso who have gone on to become household names.

The Senior Lecturer has chained music hits such as Ruregerero, Mabvi Nemagokora, Hapana Chisipo and Mazano that have endeared him to the music fans in Zimbabwe and the region.
Madzibaba is currently riding with his latest album, Ruvheneko, which carries a lot of hit songs that are already receiving rave reviews both on radio and in the print media.
Fans to the show, should expect nothing short of fireworks as he would be belting songs from his growing discography that spans over 20 years since he ventured into music.

The Senior Lecturer, who has affirmed his famous role as a social evangelist, counsellor and father figure will also perform in Shamva tomorrow at the renowned home of entertainment, Shamva Country Club.
The Shamva Afro Stars who have recently become a darling of the Shamva community will curtain raise for the Senior Lecturer.
Show promoter Joseph Kufandiko said this would be a show to remember for those who will brave the chilly winter weather and attend the gig.

“All is set for the show and what is just left is for the music lovers to find their way to Shamva and be thrilled in a way they have never seen before. I urge all music lovers to come in their numbers and enjoy sungura music at its best,” said Kufandiko.

Meanwhile, the Chegutu-based gospel outfit, Chiedza Chevatendi, will launch their eighth album at Pfupajena Primary School in Chegutu on Sunday. Several other gospel groups are expected to take part at the launch and the Minister of Media, Information and Publicity Webster Shamu is also expected to attend.

This is a must-attend show for lovers of the “vapositori”music genre. They will be braai, tight security, secure car park, a bonfire and a generator on standby.
Elsewhere Suluman Chimbetu and Energy Mutodi are set to illuminate Chitungwiza town tomorrow. The duo who have taken the music industry by storm will perform at Club Warehouse.

Alexio Kawara and The Black Shades are set to perform at Jazz 105 today. Kawara is set to continue where he left off in the four-day Winter Jazz Festival where he thrilled fans with his melodious voice.
The King of marabi music, Kireni Zulu, will perform at Mokador Restaurant today.

The Chibuku Road to Fame provincial finals are in Mashonaland West this weekend and Chinhoyi will play host to a number of talented groups that will be vying for the ticket to represent the province in the national finals.

The group to look out for is Chirorodziva Black Tribe, which came second in the same competition in 2005.
