adminZamalek coach Moeman Soliman admits his team “needs a miracle” to beat Mamelodi Sundowns in the Caf Champions League final this evening.
The Egyptian giants must overcome a 3-0 loss they suffered in the first leg of the final in Atteridgeville last weekend.
“The game is not finished. Obviously we need a miracle to win the cup,” says Soliman.
“We have to prepare ourselves. We beat Wydad (4-0) and we went to Morocco and we lost 5-2 there. It can be possible. We need to work hard and do a plan.”
Sundowns arrived in Egypt during the week and were subjected to frustrating tactics by the hosts, who at some point denied them a training venue. The match will be played at Alexandria’s Borg El Arab Stadium (20h30 kick-off).
Zamalek are bidding to win the competition for a sixth time, while Downs aim to become only the second South African club to claim the trophy after Orlando Pirates’ triumph in 1995. — Kickoff, Sports Reporter
