GOSPEL musician Takesure Zamar has expressed gratitude to thousands of worshippers who turned up for his One Sound – The Roar of Many Waters gathering at Harare Gardens on 14 August, describing the event as a powerful encounter with God.

Speaking in an interview, Zamar said the gathering went beyond music and entertainment, as worshippers came together with a shared desire to seek God.

“What happened at Harare Gardens was far beyond an event. It was a powerful gathering of believers, a divine encounter and a beautiful expression of one voice, one hunger and one sound before God,” said Zamar.

The worship leader said he was humbled by the large turnout, crediting the crowd for creating an atmosphere that he believes will remain memorable.

“To everyone who came in your numbers, I want to say thank you. Thank you for showing up, for worshipping, for praying and for believing,” he said.

“Thank you for bringing your hunger for God. Your presence helped create an atmosphere we will never forget.”

Zamar said the gathering was made possible through the contribution of several people, including ministers, worship teams, sponsors, partners and members of the organising crew.

He particularly thanked men and women of God who stood with the team and served faithfully before and during the gathering.

“I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to the men and women of God who stood with us and served faithfully,” he said.

The musician also acknowledged the ministers and worship teams who helped lead worship, saying their contribution played an important role in making One Sound a meaningful experience.

“I am grateful to all the ministers and worship teams who poured out and helped lead us into worship. Their service and commitment meant a lot to us,” Zamar said. He also expressed appreciation to an apostle who honoured the invitation and became part of the special gathering.

“Our apostle honoured the invitation and became part of this special gathering, and we are grateful for that,” he said.

Zamar said sponsors and partners were also instrumental in bringing the vision to life after believing in the concept behind One Sound.

“We want to thank our sponsors and partners who believed in the vision and helped make One Sound possible. Without people who believe in what we are doing, it becomes difficult to bring such a vision to life,” he said.

Beyond those who appeared on stage, Zamar also recognised the people who worked behind the scenes, including volunteers, ushers, media personnel, technical crew members, organisers and intercessors. “Every volunteer, usher, media team member, technical team member, organiser and intercessor, we see you and we are deeply grateful for your service,” he said.

For Zamar, however, the success of the gathering was ultimately about giving glory to God rather than taking personal credit.

“Most of all, we give all the glory to God. He alone deserves the praise for everything that happened,” he said. He said the support demonstrated by worshippers had strengthened the team’s appreciation of the vision behind One Sound.

“Thank you for standing with us. Thank you for making One Sound what it was. We are deeply grateful,” said Zamar.

He summed up the spirit of the gathering in three words, “One voice. One hunger. One sound” a message he hopes will continue beyond the Harare Gardens experience.
