Zambia bounce back

ZAMBIA breathed life in a frustrating 2015 Nations Cup qualifying campaign after an impressive second half show powered them to a 3-0 win over Niger in Ndola yesterday. Goals from Rainford Kalaba, Emmanuel Mayuka and a late penalty converted by goalkeeper Kennedy Mwene gave Zambia their first win in four games to take them to five points. Nigeria’s Super Eagles defeated Sudan 3-1 in a Group A match at the National Stadium in Abuja.

With one point from three matches in the group, the Super Eagles knew nothing short of a win will do the team any good and they went all out in the opening exchanges.
Ahmed Musa scored twice to power the Super Eagles home.

Nigeria now have four points after four matches in Group A of the 2015 Afcon qualifiers, one ahead of Sudan who now drop to bottom of the group.
Angola revived their chances of qualifying for the 2015 Nations Cup when they defeated Lesotho 4-0 in their Group C encounter at the Estádio 11 de Novembro in Luanda yesterday.
Bastos opened the scoring early in the first half and Ary Papel added a second just after the hour mark, while the other goals came early in the second half through an own-goal and a fourth from Love Cabungula.
