ALL is set for the 2023 edition of the Hammer and Tongues’ sponsored St George’s College Under-20 Soccer Tournament that takes place at the school tomorrow and Saturday.

The tournament will see 20 schools taking part in a round robin format over two days.

This year’s edition will be graced by St Ignatius College Jesuit School from Zambia.

St Georges College headmaster John Farrelly yesterday sounded excited ahead of yet another edition of the tournament.

“On behalf of the rector, staff and pupils of St George’s College it is my pleasure to welcome you all to the 2023 St George’s College Under-20 Soccer Tournament. I thank Brian Makwabarara and Hammer and Tongues, the principal sponsor, as without their generosity it would not be easy to host a tournament of this nature.

“Many people have been involved with the organisation of the tournament and I wish to thank Humphrey Sakarombe, the teacher in charge, Mars Medical Team, Match Officials, St George’s College Soccer team players’ parents and sponsors who had been with us from when the tournament started, namely OK Zimbabwe, Delta, Mawere and Sibanda Law Firm and Colcom, and the St George’s College Soccer Staff,” said Farrelly.
