Zansibar holds inaugural Miss Urban Bulawayo

PREPARATIONS for the inaugural Miss Urban Bulawayo beauty contest taking place at Zansibar (Ex Private Lounge) on Saturday are at an advanced stage.

One of the organisers of the event, Fikile Ncube, who is also a model, said the beauty pageant was being held to give aspiring and unsigned models a chance to break into the modelling industry.

She said the girls were now practising their catwalk and undergoing grooming and etiquacy training.

“We’ve invited several reputable models to groom the finalists and educate them about the modelling industry ahead of the big night.

“Through my Empressprimy designs fashion label, I will dress the models for evening wear,” said Ncube.
