Zanu PF has asserted itself as a colossal party that continues to show its dominance politically, in terms of organisational capacity, and resilience among its members.
The party’s Central Committee is holding a three-day strategic seminar in Gweru, which is simultaneously showcasing fashion through different regalia and designs.
There was also brisk business for hotels, lodges, restaurants, among other entrepreneurs, as the Central Committee members gathered in Gweru.
Zanu PF Secretary-General Advocate Jacob Mudenda is the convener of the seminar. Buoyed by the recent distribution of vehicles to Central Committee members to enhance mobility, the seminar will give impetus for them to mobilise party supporters.

President Mnangagwa, who was accompanied by First Lady Dr Auxillia Mnangagwa, delivered a keynote address where he emphasised the need for synergies between party policies and Government activities.
At yesterday’s event, Central Committee members were shown video footage of President Mnangagwa’s interview in Dubai with United States journalist Tucker Carlson, where he articulated the Zimbabwean story regarding various issues including the land question.
The video demonstrated President Mnangagwa’s statesmanship in articulating both domestic and international issues in line with the Second Republic’s mantra of being a ‘Friend to all and enemy to none.’
It was a hive of activity at the seminar, which started on Thursday, with various facilitators taking Central Committee members through different thematic areas.
Proceedings began with the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution responsible for Midlands Province, Cde Owen Ncube, delivering opening remarks where he welcomed delegates.
He commended the Government for its economic blueprints, National Development Strategy 1 and 2.
“As Midlands Province we have aligned our programmes with NDS2,” he said.
He commended the President for his wise leadership, including the distribution of vehicles to Central Committee members to enhance their mobility in party mobilisation.

ZanuPF Provincial Chairman for Midlands, Cde Edison Chiherenge, said his province will soon hold workshops to capacitate cadres in the province.
He said the province will also construct offices for each district so that no meetings will be held in an open-air environment.
“We have eight administrative districts.
“We have party offices that should be constructed. We need to build our offices so that we do not hold meetings in the open air. We have already started; Zvishavane and Mberengwa will be completed soon,” said Cde Chiherenge.
The event was attended by First Lady Dr Auxillia Mnangagwa, Vice President Cde Kembo Mohadi, National Chairperson Cde Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri, ZanuPFNational Political Commissar Cde Munyaradzi Machacha, among other senior party officials
