ZANU-PF’s Bulawayo Central district is kicking off its Africa Day celebrations with an exciting two-day soccer tournament today.

The tournament, organized by Tendai Charuka, the ZANU-PF Greens district chairperson, promises a weekend of intense competition.

Twelve teams from Wards 1 and 4 are competing for the ultimate prize: a whole beast.

“The winning team will take home a full beast, perfect for a celebratory feast. The tournament is designed to showcase the best talent from both wards, with the finalists from each ward set to clash tomorrow in what promises to be an epic showdown,” said Charuka.

“This tournament is more than just a game; it’s a celebration of our African identity and unity,” Charuka added.

He emphasized that the intention is to create an event that brings the community together, promotes sportsmanship, and honors the spirit of Africa Day.

Charuka stated that the winning teams from Ward 1 and Ward 4 will ultimately face off tomorrow at Lockview Grounds, opposite Eveline High School.
