Zanu-PF Central Committee member Cde Ncube dies

BULAWAYO Proportional representative member and Zanu-PF Central Committee member Cde Ophar Ncube has died.

She was 69. 

Cde Ncube died at United Bulawayo Hospitals (UBH) yesterday morning after a short illness. 

Cde Ncube was the National Assembly Member under the Zanu-PF Proportional Representation ticket.

Her husband Mr Khapheni Luke Malaba Ncube said he thanked God for giving him a wife.

“I love God for the way he has received my wife.

God gave us a woman who was blessed with all the goodness that we can imagine. As a family she gave us five children through God’s Grace. She has so many relatives and loved ones at work and the ruling party, Zanu-PF,” said Mr Ncube. 

Minister of Provincial Affairs and Devolution Judith Ncube said she learnt with shock the death of Cde Ncube.

“We are in mourning as Bulawayo following the death of Honourable Ophar Ncube.

We join the family, relatives, friends and loved ones and the ruling party Zanu-PF in mourning her. The President Cde Mnangagwa has lost one of his foot soldiers,” said Minister Ncube. 

Mourners are gathered at 14936 Nkulumane 12, Bulawayo and burial arrangements will be announced in due course.
