In officially closing the 23rd Annual National People’s Conference at Chinhoyi University of Technology this afternoon, President Mnangagwa declared that ZANU PF is a great, people-driven revolutionary movement that can never be stopped.
Cde Mnangagwa, who is the First Secretary and President of ZANU PF, said party members should return to their provinces with heads held high, proud of the Party’s achievements in realising the aspirations of communities across Zimbabwe.
“We are a great, people-driven, revolutionary movement which can never be stopped. As we conclude the business of this year’s Conference, let us go back to our provinces with our heads held high, proud of who we are and what we are achieving to realise the aspirations of all communities in our motherland, Zimbabwe,” he said.
President Mnangagwa said Government and the Party remain emboldened by their sacred duty to develop, modernise and industrialise the country.
He said this year’s theme, “Consolidating economic development and deepening empowerment for the Zimbabwean people,” was appropriate for this defining period in the country’s history.
“It served as both a compass and a source of inspiration for the work that lies ahead, reminding us that the true measure of our success will be in the tangible results delivered in the daily lives of our people,” he said.
The President said the Conference had successfully examined the state of the Party and other sectors of the economy and society, with resolutions outlining programmes, policies and challenges requiring attention.
“Collectively, we also reaffirmed the centrality of our national vision as well as shared responsibility. Our expertise, our loyalty, our discipline and our honest work are our DNA,” he said.
