Chitungwiza Mayor Lovemore Maiko confirmed the move.

“For more than two decades our people have been struggling in terms of water woes. We have been struggling with sewer and bad roads. We want to address that,” said Cllr Mutimbanyoka.

He also pledged to work harmoniously with the opposition mayor with the hope of having a common purpose of improving the local authority’s service delivery.
