ZANU-PF Bulawayo Area 5 District Co-ordinating Committee chairperson Cde Mnothisi Nsingo yesterday donated maize meal to 100 vulnerable party supporters of Ward 26 B in Bulawayo.
Cde Nsingo who is also a prominent businessman in the city said the donation was one of his many ways of paying back the communities for supporting his business as well as cushioning less fortunate members from the prevailing economic challenges being faced in the country.
“Since the country has been hard hit by drought and there is an adverse shortage of mealie-meal we went out to identify the most vulnerable members in our party in all the seven districts in Area 5 of which I’m going to donate 100 bags of 10kgs to the first three districts in the next coming weeks starting with Ward 26 B today,” he said.
Late last year Cde Nsingo donated 10kg roller-meal bags to 100 families mainly the vulnerable and elderly in Ward 4.
“I will continue to donate to the less fortunate members of the society especially targeting our party members and people should take note that I’m only assisting Zanu-PF members solely because I’m using personal funds and it’s one way of mobilising our supporters ahead of the 2023 elections,” said Cde Nsingo.
Also present during the donation Central Committee member Cde Charles Chiponda and other Area 5 DCC executive members.
Meanwhile, party members also met yesterday at the provincial headquarters where national political commissar Cde Victor Matemadanda implored party members to continue building the party from the cell level. The Bulawayo province is undergoing restructuring.
