Zanu-PF delegation in Malaysia

The invitation comes just a few days before Zanu-PF holds its 12th National Annual People’s Conference in Bulawayo.
In a statement on Friday, the Zanu-PF external department said the party’s national chairman, Cde Simon Khaya Moyo is leading the delegation.

The party said the visit was part of preparations for the forthcoming conference as the delegation would brief its counterparts, the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) about the event.
“A high powered delegation led by national chairman Ambassador Khaya Moyo leaves the country today for Kuala Lumpur to attend an international forum of the politics of economic and social transformation in the era of global crisis,” said the external department.

The external department said Zanu-PF and UMNO enjoy excellent, cordial and fraternal relations as political parties.
“Ambassador Khaya Moyo will take the opportunity to brief delegates on the situation in Zimbabwe especially the operations of the Global Political Agreement (GPA), the constitutional making process, land reform, Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment,” said the external department.

The delegation would return home on 2 December, four days before the conference kicks off.
In June this year, the revolutionary party sent a delegation to China, another long time ally, for a week-long visit.
