The ZANU-PF Harare Province convened a Provincial Coordinating Committee (PCC) meeting on Tuesday at the Dzokerai Mabhunu Great Hall to assess the impact of the recently held inter-district meetings.
The party’s provincial leadership organised these meetings across all six zones in Harare to give feedback from the 22nd National People’s Conference and introduce newly co-opted Central Committee members.
During the inter-district meetings, numerous pledges were made to transform Harare communities, including the construction of clinics, the establishment of a revolving fund for party structures and the drilling of solar-powered boreholes.
Addressing the PCC meeting, ZANU-PF Harare provincial chairman, Cde Godwills Masimirembwa, praised President Mnangagwa for his “all-inclusive developmental philosophy that leaves no one and no place behind”, which continues to positively impact communities nationwide, with roads, dams, and Central Registry Offices constructed.
He said the commitments made during the inter-district meetings have transitioned from words to actionable plans, stating that this effectively “demystifies and dismantles false narratives being spread on social media claiming that the promises were mere rhetoric.”
Cde Masimirembwa assured that “Zanu PF delivers” and the people of Harare Province will witness tangible progress as pledged.
He expressed appreciated Harare Central Committee member Cde Kuda Tagwirei and Cde Sandra Tagwirei for their Bridging Gaps Foundation, that exemplifies a transformative partnership dedicated to uplifting lives across Zimbabwe.
ZANU-PF Politburo member, Cde Omega Hungwe, underscored the importance of unity among party members.
“We should work together as a team. We should be a united front. Politics has no permanent friendship and no permanent enemies,” she said.
Cde Hungwe urged members to embrace inclusivity, advocating that personal differences should not hinder the involvement of potential voters.
ZANU-PF Secretary for Education, Research and Ideology, Cde Charles Tawengwa, commended the province’s organisational capacity during the inter-district meetings and stressed the full implementation of empowerment programmes initiated by President Mnangagwa.
Cde Tawengwa lauded President Mnangagwa’s intensified fight against drug and substance abuse, reaffirming the necessity of reaching the intended audiences with these initiatives.
