ZANU PF Harare province is mobilising structures in anticipation of any legal processes related to the proposed extension of President Mnangagwa’s term beyond 2028.

This initiative aligns with the resolution adopted at the 21st ZANU PF National People’s Conference.

To facilitate this, the provincial leadership has launched an outreach programme aimed at educating party members, including the commissariat department, on the importance of the agenda.

Recent engagements have already taken place in areas such as Zone 5, Epworth, Chitungwiza Zone 1, and Glen View Zone 2, focusing on promoting the extension of President Mnangagwa’s term to support Vision 2030.

At a provincial meeting held at Glen View Community Hall, Harare at the weekend, ZANU PF provincial chairman Cde Godwills Masimirembwa said there is need for political commissars to inform the public about the achievements of President Mnangagwa.

“The aim of this meeting is to equip our political commissars to spread the message about the resolution for the President’s term extension. They must be well-versed with the significant progress made under his leadership and promote Vision 2030,” Cde Masimirembwa said.

He underscored the essential role of the commissariat department in membership recruitment, retention, and the dissemination of party ideology.

“We aim to strengthen the commissariat at all levels, from province to branch and cell, with the goal of doubling our membership in  Harare.”

ZANU PF Council of Elders member Cde Idah Mashonganyika also urged party members to maintain loyalty to the party and its leadership.
