Sikhumbuzo Moyo in Nkankezi, Insiza
SCORES of Zanu-PF supporters have converged at Nkankezi business centre, Matabeleland South province, for the Insiza North by election campaign whose keynote speaker is Matabeleland South Provincial Affairs and Devolution Minister Albert Nguluvhe.
Provincial party chairperson Cde Mangaliso Ndlovu will also be in attendance as the revolutionary party drums up support for its candidate Cde Delani Moyo who will face the challenge of Mr Thabani Mlotshwa of Zapu, Mr Mbongeni Moyo of the Zimbabwe National Revival Party as well as an independent Mr Lesley Dube in the June 14 by election.
Also, in attendance at the rally are the two losing party primary elections candidates Dr Qhubani Moyo and Cde Moses Langa.
The seat became vacant following the death of Cde Farai Taruvinga in March after a long battle with cancer.
The initial Zanu-PF primary elections were nullified by the party leadership, who said the exercise failed “to meet the minimum accepted standards”.
