THE Zanu PF Manicaland Women’s League executive is expected to meet tomorrow and co-opt members of its executive before electing a chairlady for the province.

The meeting, to be held in Mutare, followed a decision by the party’s National Political Commissariat department to nullify a co-option exercise done in April this year.

Zanu PF National Political Commissar, Cde Munyaradzi Machacha, confirmed tomorrow’s meeting in a statement.

“Reference is made to the ZANU PF Provincial Women’s League co-option for the post of the League’s chairlady which was held in Mutare on April 6, 2025.

“You are hereby notified that Commissariat has nullified results of the co-option and hence the province should prepare to re-do the exercise.

“The co-option will be held at the ZANU PF Manicaland Provincial offices on Sunday June 29, 2025, at 1000 hours and presided over by the National Political Commissar Cde M Machacha.

“In this regard, you are advised to inform the Electoral College which comprises the Provincial Women’s League executive members,” reads the statement.

The executive will fill the post of provincial chairlady that fell vacant following the sacking of Cde Happiness Nyakuedzwa.
