THE ZANU PF Mashonaland West executive is preparing for the party’s National People’s Conference scheduled for Mutare on October 13.

During a meeting with the party’s Youth Affairs Deputy Secretary, Cde John Paradza, in Chinhoyi, the youth expressed their excitement about participating in this year’s gathering and pledged their support for President Mnangagwa, who is also the Zanu PF First

Secretary.

Cde Paradza met with the executive to assess the progress of various youth empowerment initiatives being implemented in the province.

The executive members expressed their gratitude to the Second Republic and President Mnangagwa for introducing a youth-centred and inclusive development agenda that has enabled young people to drive the economy forward.

Provincial chairman Cde Tapiwa Masenda stated that the youths in the province were pleased with the developments brought about by President Mnangagwa and are firmly behind his continued leadership until 2030.

“We welcome Cde Paradza’s visit, during which he followed up on our projects and outlined the broader plan for youth empowerment in line with Vision 2030. These initiatives have transformed our lives,” he said.

Similar to many youths across the country, those in the province have gained access to tractors, housing, and farming land.

Cde Valeria Makonza, the Youth League Secretary for External Affairs and a central committee member, emphasised that young women take pride in being part of this economic transformation.

“The empowerment agenda has provided us equal opportunities to run projects, access land, and own businesses, demonstrating that no one is left behind under the Second Republic,” she said.

Cde Paradza encouraged youths to fully embrace the opportunities available and called for accountability in the use of empowerment resources.

He reaffirmed the constituency’s readiness for the National People’s Conference, stating that the youths are firmly supporting Resolution Number One.

“We are fully prepared for the National People’s Conference in Mutare. As the Youth League, we stand firmly behind our party’s resolutions, particularly Resolution One, which focuses on advancing inclusive economic empowerment for the youth and safeguarding

the achievements of the Second Republic,” he said.

“We want every youth to actively participate in building the Zimbabwe we envision under Vision 2030.”

More than seven thousand young people in Mashonaland West province are set to benefit from residential stands and title deeds under the Munhumutapa Youth Housing Scheme.

The party and the Government are also facilitating the availability of 10-hectare plots for over 700 youths in the province.

These initiatives are part of a national strategy aimed at creating opportunities for young people, ensuring that no one is left behind.
