THOUSANDS of ruling ZANU PF party supporters have thronged Chinotimba Stadium in Victoria Falls for a Thank You Rally organised by the Matabeleland North Province to celebrate the successful passage of the Constitutional Amendment Act Number 3 (CAA3).

The event, which is underway at the stadium, has attracted party members who have gathered to hear the keynote address by the party’s National Political Commissar, Cde Munyaradzi Machacha.

Among the dignitaries in attendance is the Matabeleland North Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Cde Richard Moyo, who also serves as the ZANU PF Provincial Chairman.
Other central committee members are also present at the rally.

In a brief interview, Matabeleland North Provincial Youth Chairman, Cde Alvin Lundy Sinzeka, expressed the province’s gratitude for the amendment’s success, linking it directly to continued development for the region.
“We are celebrating this success as a province. We expect that with the CAA3 now in place, the development trajectory for Matabeleland North will be furthered significantly,” said Cde Sinzeka.

The rally serves as a demonstration of the ruling party’s dominance and the province’s support for the Second Republic’s legislative agenda, which leaders have said will strengthen governance and accelerate development programmes .

The party is seeking to capitalise on this momentum as it prepares for upcoming local authority by-elections in the resort city.
