ZANU-PF Matabeleland North is set to hold a provincial inter-district meeting in Lupane on Saturday in preparation for the party’s national conference slated for December.
The provincial women’s league will hold its conference tomorrow and Politburo member, Thokozile Mathuthu, who is also the Deputy Minister of Information and Publicity, will be the guest of honour.
Zanu-PF Matabeleland North provincial chairman Cde Richard Moyo said all Politburo members, central committee members, National Consultative Assembly members, provincial executive members and the newly-elected chairpersons of all wings at district level are required to attend the Saturday meeting.
“We’ll hold the meeting on Saturday, November 21, at 9AM in Lupane. The meeting is intended for planning and sharing of ideas towards the fundraising dinner that we intend to hold that same evening in Victoria Falls,” said Cde Moyo.
“We hope to be setting off for Victoria Falls by 3PM where we’ll have a fundraising dinner starting at 7PM till late at Elephant Hills Hotel. The dinner is aimed at raising funds to be used at the conference.
“As the hosting province, we’ve set a target of raising about $100,000 to be used for the conference which will start on December 7.”
Cde Moyo said everyone, including the general public, who wish to join them for the fundraising dinner is welcome.
“All those who wish to join us for the fundraising dinner are welcome as this will allow the success of the conference which is ahead of us all. This is open for everyone and so please come and support us,” he said.
