THOUSANDS of ruling ZANU PF party supporters have thronged the Gwanda District Club for a Thank You Rally being held to celebrate the successful passage of the Constitutional Amendment Act Number 3 (CAA3).
The event has attracted party members who have gathered to hear the keynote address by Politburo member Cde Richard Ndlovu.
Among the dignitaries in attendance is the Matabeleland South Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Cde Albert Nguluvhe who also serves as the ZANU PF Provincial Vice chairman and Zanu PF provincial chairman Cde Mangaliso Ndlovu who is also the Minister of Industry and Commerce.
Other Politburo members and central committee members are also present at the rally.
The provincial party leadership has expressed excitement over passing of CAA3.
The thank you rally serves as a demonstration of the ruling party’s dominance and the province’s support for the Second Republic’s legislative agenda, which leaders have said will strengthen governance and accelerate development programmes .
