THE Zanu- PF Matabeleland South Provincial leadership has commenced a series of feedback meetings across the province’s seven administrative districts to share and discuss the resolutions from the recent 21st National Conference held in Bulawayo.
Led by the provincial chairperson, Cde Nqobizitha Mangaliso Ndlovu, the provincial leadership has successfully wrapped up meetings in Insiza, Gwanda and Beitbridge where they actively engaged with grassroots structures.
During an inter-district meeting in Beitbridge yesterday, attended by leaders from the 31 party districts, Cde Ndlovu emphasised that the primary goal of these meetings is to facilitate interaction with local leaders and gather insights on the state of the party.
“We are here to provide feedback on the 162 resolutions from the 21st National Conference, particularly to affirm that our first resolution—requesting our President, Dr. ED Mnangagwa, to lead the party and the Government until 2030 has been successful,” said Cde Ndlovu.

“This resolution is significant, and we stand firmly behind our President and the people’s voice. All provinces nationwide agreed that he is the right leader to guide us forward.”
Cde Ndlovu expressed satisfaction with the feedback received from community members, indicating that it has provided clarity on the challenges facing grassroots structures and what actions need to be taken.
“We will reconvene as leadership to address the issues raised,” he assured attendees.
He called on party members to unite, as Zanu-PF aims to regain control of urban councils where the party underperformed in the last elections. He also noted that the conference resolved to declare 1 July a public holiday in honour of the late Vice-President, Dr Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo.

Additionally, he acknowledged the community challenges, including poor road conditions and inadequate mobile network coverage.
“We have taken note of the issues regarding the road network and communication facilities. The leadership will engage relevant Ministers for urgent solutions to these challenges,” he said.
He reiterated the importance of teamwork among Zanu-PF members to ensure full implementation of the resolutions from the 21st National Conference.
“With our two-thirds majority in Parliament, we must leverage this strength for the benefit of all Zimbabweans.”
Cde Ndlovu also highlighted the ongoing water crisis in Beitbridge, where some suburbs have reportedly gone without running water for three days. He said the issue would be prioritised for urgent resolution.
He condemned traditional and community leaders who engage in the illegal sale of communal land, stating that the practice of selling communal land must be halted and those involved should be warned that their days were numbered.
