Zanu-PF meets

Zanu-PF will tomorrow hold a resettlement meeting focusing on the country’s historic land reform programme and the resettlement of people.The meeting will be attended by Provincial Ministers of State and Zanu-PF provincial chairpersons, among other senior Government and party officials.

The party’s National Chairman Ambassador Simon Khaya Moyo confirmed the meeting yesterday.

He said Cabinet ministers with ministries involved in land issues were also invited.

“We are going to have a resettlement meeting on Wednesday with Provincial Ministers of State,” he said.

“Land and Resettlement Minister Dr Douglas Mombeshora, Agriculture, Mechanisation and Irrigation Development Minister Dr Joseph Made and Local Government, Public Works and National Housing Minister Dr Ignatius Chombo will also attend the meeting.”

Ambassador Khaya Moyo said Dr Chombo would attend the meeting in his capacity as the party’s Secretary for Land in the Politburo.

Over 300 000 families have benefited from land reform.
