ZANU PF registered over 5 000 new members and a significant increase in membership card uptake at the 65th edition of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) in Bulawayo, the party’s secretary for Information and Publicity, Cde Christopher Mutsvangwa, has said.
Subscriptions by new members boomed at the party stands where registration of new membership was digitalised.
Giving an update on the ruling party’s exhibition at ZITF, Cde Mutsvangwa said President Mnangagwa’s people-centred policies made new members flock to join ZANU PF.
“We had more than 5 000 new members. The Trade Fair was an eye-opening experience for ZANU PF, reflecting the populace’s desire to reconnect with the party,” he stated.
“The Trade Fair was an eye-opening event for ZANU PF as it came face-to-face with the enthusiasm of the populace as they sought to know more about it and, more importantly, how to join the party.”
