adminparty was ready for the polls set for next Wednesday. Cde Matuke said the party was expecting to win a minimum of 20 out of the 26 national assembly seats that will be contested.
“We are now ready for elections as Zanu-PF in Masvingo. In view of what is obtaining on the ground, we have made inroads and we are quite certain that we will bag not less than 20 seats,” said Cde Matuke.
“As a party we would have liked to sweep all the 26 seats, but we are saying in the event that we miss that target, the minimum number of seats that we are sure we will win is 20.’’
The provincial chairman said people in the province had realised that the MDC-T’s policy would not find resonance with the wishes of ordinary people. He said the party was united in Masvingo behind the visionary leadership of President Mugabe.
“There is a refreshing air of unity among all party cadres in Masvingo and we are very confident that the party and its Presidential candidate President Mugabe will romp to a landslide victory. We are pulling in one direction as a party,’’ he said.
