Zanu-PF verifies voters roll

July 31. Masvingo Zanu-PF provincial chairman Cde Lovemore Matuke yesterday said the party was stepping up preparations for the impending primary elections by making sure the voters’ roll was in good shape.

Cde Matuke said the verification of the party’s voters roll was being done at ward and cell level.
Zanu-PF recently announced that primary elections to choose candidates for the forthcoming harmonised elections would be held in one day.

Cde Matuke said the party was now geared for primary elections in Masvingo. “We have started the verification of our party’s voters roll in all the districts across Masvingo to make sure that all the cell and ward members are in the voters roll ahead of the forthcoming primary elections.

We hope to complete the verification exercise in a week. When primary election dates are announced we will be ready,” he said.
Cde Matuke said only card-carrying party members would be allowed to vote in the primary elections and urged members to make sure that they have party cards. He said the revolutionary party would make sure all primary election candidates campaign as one team.
