A ZANU-PF victory in the forthcoming elections will among other things guarantee access to education for the less privileged children,  the party’s national chairman, Cde Simon Khaya Moyo, said yesterday. Statistics have shown that a number of underprivileged pupils are dropping out of school over unpaid fees.

Addressing hundreds of party supporters who attended his rallies in Malalume and Dombodema areas in Bulilima District, Cde Khaya Moyo said the revolutionary party was prepared to ensure that financial constraints did not negatively affect the development of the education sector.

“Zanu-PF is committed to developing the education sector which provides the foundation for our development as a nation.
Government built hundreds of schools in both urban and rural areas since independence in order to ensure children have access to education.

“We have made commendable strides in developing the education sector and we want to ensure we consolidate these gains. We have realised that some children are failing to access education due to financial constraints so we will ensure such children assisted,” said  Cde Simon Khaya Moyo.

He urged people to heed the message being disseminated by politicians on the evil intentions of the MDC formations.
“Let us heed the advice that we have been continuously receiving from the President Cde Mugabe and Zanu-PF leaders that we should not make the mistake of 2008 of voting useless MDC candidates into office.

Cde Khaya Moyo said people should be wary of foreign countries that he said were desperate to install a puppet government in Zimbabwe that will serve their interests.

“The whites are desperate to regain control of our resources. They will do everything possible to ensure their puppet leader, Mr Morgan Tsvangirai wins.

“Be wary of this party which pretends to have your interests at heart while pursuing the agenda of its masters. You must ensure that on 31 July the foreign intruders are silenced forever by voting wisely.

Cde Khaya Moyo said the revolutionary party was committed to fulfilling its pledge to develop the country as well as improve the people’s welfare as outlined in its manifesto.

He said the MDC-T party had 28 rebels which were contesting for MP posts which confirms the chaos and confusion in the party.
