The Zanu-PF youth congress has been tentatively slated for August 7 to 10, amid reports that some party youths were already jockeying for positions. The Youth Congress would precede the Women’s League Congress.  In an interview last week, Zanu-PF spokesperson Cde Rugare Gumbo said the dates were subject to endorsement by the Politburo.

“Preparations are on course for the Youth Congress. We discussed the issue last Wednesday and they proposed 7 to 10 August, but the Politburo has not yet met to confirm the dates. The Politburo has to decide,” said Cde Gumbo.
