TWO years after the death of its founder, Dr Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti, Zaoga Forward in Faith marked its 65th anniversary of unwavering gospel preaching with various activities at assembly points dotted around the country.

Yesterday, Zaoga FIF followers held celebratory events filled with joy, praise and gratitude for the ministry’s global impact.

The church continues to flourish under the leadership of presiding Bishop Joseph Joe Guti and Pastor Miriam Nyasha Guti.

Apostle Mishael Nyambo serves as secretary-general, assisted by Dr Steve Simukai.

Senior Archbishop Dr Eunor Guti offers invaluable wisdom in an advisory role.

Archbishops Mateus and Petronella Simao lead the Portuguese-speaking nations, while Archbishops Elias and Prisca Soko oversee South Africa.

Today, Zaoga FIFMI reaches over 170 nations and states, a reflection of the tireless efforts and divine vision of its founder.

In a statement released in honour of the occasion, the Africa Multination for Christ Colleges (AMFCC) said:

“On May 12, 2025, we joyfully celebrate not only a ministry milestone, but the enduring legacy of one of the greatest apostles of our time, Archbishop Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti. The Founding President Archbishop Guti was more than a visionary leader.

“He was a spiritual father whose life and ministry left an indelible mark not only on ZAOGA FIFMI but across the global Christian body.”

The church said that through the late Dr Guti’s deep obedience to Christ, the gospel has been preached across all continents and churches have been planted in over 170 nations and states.

It said by God’s grace, Archbishop Guti pioneered a transformative movement that has established thousands of church buildings, schools, colleges, a hospital, a university, and multiple Bible colleges including AMFCC.

Over 3 000 pastors from various countries all over the world have been trained through these institutions.

Dr Guti’s theological depth and commitment to sound doctrine are reflected in the over 118 books he authored, equipping believers with biblical knowledge and practical wisdom for daily living.

In the statement AMFCC, said it is deeply honoured to be part of this divine legacy – a legacy rooted in Christ, upheld by truth, and propelled by unwavering faith.

“This 65th anniversary is not only a time of celebration but also a moment of reflection and recommitment. We, the AMFCC family, vow to continue walking in the legacy of this great apostle, upholding the values he lived by. As we look forward with hope and expectation, we remain rooted in the legacy of this powerful ministry and its founding father.”

It said as they honour this milestone, they recommit themselves to the vision, passion, and values of Archbishop Dr Guti.

Philippians 4:9 encourages us: “Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.”

Read part of the statement: “Viva ZAOGA FIF! As the beloved Shona song declares: “ZAOGA haizi yekutamba, maiona, inofamba naMweya Mutsvene. Forward ever with the Gospel!”

Founder Dr Guti, the prominent evangelist, educationist and author died aged 100 on July 5, 2023.

He was conferred with the national hero status in recognition of the great work and impact he made in the country and the world over.
