Zaoga opens new chapter

ZAOGA Forward in Faith Ministries has entered a new chapter of leadership with the consecration of Dr Joseph Joe Guti as Archbishop.

He succeeds the late founder, Professor Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti.

In an interview, the church’s secretary-general Bishop Mishael Nyambo, who spoke on behalf of Archbishop Guti, said ZAOGA’s global mission is firmly rooted in its established structures across 177 nations.

“It is not like the church is administered only from Harare. We have structures in every country, and they report to the international headquarters under Archbishop Joseph Joe Guti,” said Bishop Nyambo.

“The office of the Archbishop oversees churches worldwide, ensuring leadership is felt across all nations.”

Bishop Nyambo explained that the Deeper Life Conference is a vital platform for enhancing unity among pastors.

“The Pastors Deeper Life Leadership Conference brings together leaders from all six continents to share experiences and encourage one another.

“It is a place of fellowship, training and for the Archbishop to know his pastors worldwide, encouraging love, unity and the fear of the Lord,” he said.

He reaffirmed the secretariat’s role in sustaining Prof Guti’s vision alongside the new Archbishop.

“In every country, we have national administrators and chairpersons who implement the leader’s vision.

“At headquarters, my office and that of my deputy, coordinate with nations to ensure Archbishop Guti’s vision for the future is achieved,” he said.

Bishop Nyambo further underscored ZAOGA’s involvement in broader faith networks.

“We are a leading member of the Evangelical Fellowship of Zimbabwe, which unites Pentecostal and evangelical churches to address pressing issues.

“Through hospitals, orphanages, and schools, we align with the government’s vision while serving communities,” said Bishop Nyambo.

Education remains central to ZAOGA’s mission, with new institutions in development.

“We believe education must not be a scarce commodity,” he stated.

The Chipinge satellite campus is nearing completion as part of Vision 2030 of an empowered upper-middle income society.

“Archbishop Guti is thankful to President Mnangagwa for providing land to build schools and hospitals, ensuring citizens benefit from these institutions,” he said.

Bishop Nyambo when the church builds schools or hospitals, those institutions are for all citizens, to uplift communities and strengthen the nation.

He added that their mission is to serve, empower and ensure no one is left behind.
