Zapu youth leader jailed

Appearing before Masvingo magistrate Mr Waini Makamera, Sithole (31) was slapped with 24 months in prison of which 12 months were suspended for five years on condition that he pays restitution of the same amount that he prejudiced the complainant, failure of which he would serve a jail term.
Six months were further suspended for five years on condition that he does not commit a crime of a similar nature.

The State case as represented by prosecutor  Mr Frank Chirairo is that sometime in January 2011 Sithole sold House Number 10599 Mugijima Street, Mucheke F, Masvingo, to one Shadreck Chando.

The packed court heard that on 24 February Sithole again sold the same house to Samson Harunameso Mutamba of Rhodes Avenue in Zvishavane who paid R38 000 and $1 800 towards the purchase of the house.

Mutamba made the payment after Sithole had misrepresented himself as having control over the house that he had already sold to Chando.
The State case was that after the sale of the house, Sithole was no longer in control of the same house since he had already sold it to Chando.
