Preparations for the 112th edition of the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show have started with more than 200 exhibitors already booked to participate at the annual event.

The show which will be held from August 29 to September 3 at the Exhibition Park is running under the theme “Unequalled business opportunities Accessibility, Accountability and Abundance.”

The Zimbabwe Agricultural Society (ZAS) head programme and public affairs officer, Mr Tawonga Miriyoni said they were expecting a large number of people coming to this year’s show.

“The preparations are already in progress and we are looking forward to a near to normal show unlike the previous one which was limited due to Covid-19.”

Mr Miriyoni also said they have been invoicing exhibitors and making invites to different companies.

“So far we have 270 exhibitors and yet to update the figure. So far we are facing no challenges, the preparations are going on well and we are expecting people to come in large numbers”

Due to the Covid-19 lockdown, last year’s agricultural show did not have so many people. However, this year’s show is expected to be better than ever.

Every year, the show highlights include the breakfast conference, the annual National Agribusiness Conference and the official opening of the event.

The agricultural show each year presents an opportunity for farmers to meet with service providers while business met with clients.
