ZB Financial Holdings Limited (ZBFH) has appointed Emmah Mungoni as new group finance director with effect from January 1, 2022.
In a latest statement, the group said Mungoni has previously served as head corporate banking for ZB Bank Limited with functional responsibility for key customer relations and improving the assets and liability of the bank.
“The board of ZB Financial Holding Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Emmah Mungoni as the group finance director with effect from January 2022,” said the group.
It said Ms Mungoni joined ZBHL on June 2010 as the finance director at ZB Building Society and became acting managing director, a position she held until May 2018 when she was appointed head of corporate banking.
She has more than 20 years of experience in the banking sector, which started in 1997.
“Mungoni has had an exceptional, progressive career of over 20 years that started in January 1997 at Ernst and Young Chartered Accountants where she served her articles and rose to the position of an audit supervisor,” said ZB.
“She then went on to serve as group finance executive at Apex Corporation in March 2002, moved onto AOM Zimbabwe (now Minerva Risk Advisory) as chief finance officer until 2009. From there she joined ZB in 2010 until her current position as head corporate banking.”
Mungoni is a Chartered Accountant (CA), a registered member of the Public Accountants and Auditors Board (PAAB) and a holder of Master of Business Administration with Gordon Institute of Business Science, University of Pretoria, South Africa as well as a Bachelor of Accounting, Honors Degree with the University of Zimbabwe.
“The board of ZBFH congratulates Emmah on her new appointment and wishes her success in her new position,” said the group.
