ZBCA inaugurates new president

The Zimbabwe Builders and Construction Association (ZBCA) president Dr Tinashe Manzungu was inaugurated last week during the association’s end-of-year conference in Victoria Falls.

Local Government and Public Works Deputy Minister Benjamin Kabikira and Deputy Minister of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Nobert Mazungunye presided over the ceremony.

Founded in 1985, ZBCA promotes professional development, best practices and collaboration, ensuring that members are well-equipped to thrive in a dynamic industry.

In an interview, ZBCA past president, Mr Petros Kagwere said, “I have great confidence in Dr Manzungu as we have worked together in the association. I wish him well and l assure him of my full support.”

Dr Manzungu said his immediate focus is on infrastructure investments in the country and the Sadc region.

“We have several projects that are lined up and the main objective is to implement the National Development Strategy 1 as we pursue Vision 2030. There is need for investments in the infrastructure sector.

“That is why ZBCA and ZIDA signed an agreement so that we can find solutions on how to develop Zimbabwe without straining the fiscus. We are also inviting our colleagues from other Sadc countries,” he said.
